The sky’s the limit as far as what kind of party you want to have – whatever you think will be the most fun for your guests. Some of our suggestions include:

Looking to do something nice? Try a good, old-fashioned FUNd-raiser! Round up the kids for an afternoon tea party where they can bake cookies and raise money for their community. Hmmm - a great time while LEARNING something?! How do you like that! All proceeds go to Meals-on-Wheels.

The rules of battle are as follows: two mighty chefs square off in a race to create a multi-course meal from ONE themed ingredient. The winner is hailed a culinary king among men. The loser is left to wallow in inadequacy. Man, who knew cooking could be this intense!

Think you got the stomach for an evening of murder, mystery, and mmmmmmmm – dinner? Wrap your mind around a three-act who-done-it while wrapping your stomach around cuisine that’s nothing less than to die for!

Did somebody say slumber party? Host a babysitting afternoon for all the neighborhood kids. Kids eat pizza, play games or watch movies. All donations go to Meals-on-Wheels. Just think of all the benefits if each parent in the neighborhood hosts just one babysitting afternoon! Kids have fun, parents enjoy a break, and all the proceeds go to a great cause!

What Sunday School class doesn't like to get together for fellowship and food! Take a regular Wednesday night fellowship dinner or round up the singles and have a party on a Saturday night! For your next get-together, how about a meal for Meals-on-Wheels!

Viva Mexico! Celebrate Mexico’s Independence Day on September 16th with an old-fashioned fiesta. Bring out the red, white and green with plenty of chips and salsa, margaritas and guacamole. And fill a piñata with chocolate coins and candy. Olé!

Come on, you know it’s even better than Christmas! Invite the proud parents in your neighborhood over and celebrate getting through another summer. Try some martini recipes, throw in some mixed nuts and bowls of gourmet olives and cheese sticks for some good grown-up fun!

Have everyone bring a bottle of their favorite wine, and offer an elaborate spread of gourmet cheeses, fruit, breads and crackers. For dessert, try a chocolate fondue with strawberries and pound cake cubes. Yum!

It’s the most important reason to celebrate – you! Invite your closest friends and family for a great meal, festive drinks, lots of laughs and of course, birthday cake for dessert. The more candles the better!
